I would like to get a copy of Delphi from Ebay. There are many versions available. I don't think I need the latest and greatest. Just a version with a code generator for the user interface and the ability to manipulate I/O addresses, interrupts and memory.

Can anyone guide me in this respect?

Not sure if this is too late but I have used both v4 and v7. v4 was Standard and v7 was Enterprise.

I liked them both. v7 Pro has tons of VCL's to select from. I bought my latest copy of v7 Ent. on eBay. Had some issues with the CD but that is another topic.

What ever you get make sure you get, make sure it is atleast Pro.
