TPrintPreview in the Tablet PC

Postby valcarcel_perez » November 9th, 2005, 8:33 pm

Hi,

thanks a lot for creating TPrintPreview it is really good!!

I am trying to use TPrintPreview in the tablet PC and I noticed some differences showing the preview on Portrait or on Landscape mode.

When I show the preview being on portrait mode the font looks different, even the TPrintPreview Demo shows the problem. Please see attachment.

I am using Delphi 7 and the tablet pc resolution is
Portrait (768x1024)
Landscape (1024x768)

Thank you
Ernesto

Hi,

Do you talk about Tablet PC's Screen orientation or print preview paper orientation?

Cheers

Hi
Sorry for not being too precise, English is not my first language.

I am talking about Tablet PC's Screen orientation.

So, there's nothing that we can do with PrintPreview.

Maybe you can find some fonts that the screen orientation of Tablet PC doesn't affect them.

Hi Kambiz,

I was playing a little more with the tablet and the TPrintPreview Demo, I added an option to set the font and recreate the pages. I tryed many fonts and I got the same effect.

I saw the Tablet PC does not have typo of font “TrueType”,
I can see only “OpenType” and none scalable fonts.

I try to duplicate the problem using “wordpad” and the same font and the preview from “wordpad” is ok in both orientation modes.

I want you notice from the attachment in the first post:
The space between letters is the same but each letter has a smaller width.

Greetings
Ernesto
