If you know algorithm design and problem solving using it, learning a new language just needs a couple of weeks. And to learn a new language, the best thing is a good book and practice.

Try these:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 87-5184110
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 87-5184110
However, Delphi is Changing to Delphi.NET.
http://bdn.borland.com/article/0,1410,29952,00.html
So
alot of things will change.
Win32 APIs will not work. All current win32 components will not work either. Linux is not supported..etc.
However, again, whatever knowledge you gain will help, in any paltform too!
Good Luck
