If you know algorithm design and problem solving using it, learning a new language just needs a couple of weeks. And to learn a new language, the best thing is a good book and practice.

Try these:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 87-5184110

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 87-5184110

However, Delphi is Changing to Delphi.NET. http://bdn.borland.com/article/0,1410,29952,00.html

So alot of things will change.
Win32 APIs will not work. All current win32 components will not work either. Linux is not supported..etc. :(

However, again, whatever knowledge you gain will help, in any paltform too! :)

Good Luck :D
